Mohoff Freight Lines is
a family owned and operated company located in Bloomington, California. It was
started in 1975 in Whittier, California by the patriarch, Eddie Mohoff. Eddie had been
driving trucks throughout the California Central Valley ever since he was old
enough to drive.
One day he bought a truck and took it along with his wife,
daughter, and two sons to Los Angeles to start a business there. In the
beginning, it was a tough haul, but with perseverance and constant support from his
wife Esther, he was able to keep moving forward. Then gradually business started to
increase and Mohoff began buying more trucks.
Then in 1999, Mohoff brought in his two sons to help him manage the ever
increasing amount of freight. Within a couple of years they had outgrown their
yard in Whittier and moved out to a 3 acre lot in Bloomington, CA. With the new
property, Mohoff was able to switch gears and go into the L.T.L. freight service,
because of the large warehouse and docking facility that it had. This turned out
to be a great move for the company as this created a service line all along the
west coast of the United States.
